Hello all,
I'm a fan of Paul Levy's Not Running A Hospital, so I thought it might be neat to name my blog after his. I hope to use this space mostly for the purpose of exploring philosophical issues that arise in a modern healthcare setting. I'm an MHA candidate at an American university, so the main focus here will be on western healthcare, but I don't doubt that a lot of what I write will be applicable to non-U.S. locations because, well, people everywhere get sick.
Although I have a real interest in operations and other types of administration, I find myself thinking and reading about philosophy most of the time. I don't have any academic or professional background in bioethics, so I guess I want to use Blogger to sort of give me more direction in my personal studies. I doubt I'll be breaking any new ground in what I post, but hopefully it'll be fun and interesting anyway.
Cheers!
